RICHLAND -- Two people were arrested Saturday morning in Richland on suspicion of assault.
Police were called to the 1300 block of Symons at 2:24 a.m. Saturday to investigate a report of domestic violence.
The first officer on the scene saw two men leaving the residence and told them to stop. They refused and then were joined by a woman.
A second officer arrived and told the three to stop but they confronted the first officer, who became involved in a physical altercation with one of the men, Juaquin J. Flores, 33, of Richland.

The officer then used a Taser on Flores.
His wife, Joanna V. Flores, 34, of Richland, then approached the officer. The second officer told Joanna Flores to stay back but police say the woman attacked one of the officers, scratching his face.
The Floreses were booked into the Benton County jail for third-degree assault on a police officer.
The second man, who police did not name, was not arrested.
