Ballots mailed to Franklin County voters on Oct. 18 will look a little different.
The changes to the Nov. 8 ballot materials include a new green color, removing redundant notices, clearer instructions, switching to a secrecy sleeve and eliminating a signature flap.
The flap originally was put in place by a state law that was subsequently repealed.
The redesigned ballot materials lower costs to the taxpayers and have been well received in the counties that already have taken advantage of similar simplified designs, according to the county auditor's office.
Never miss a local story.
