Speed is being blamed for a crash last month that killed a 53-year-old Kennewick woman, police said.
Kennewick traffic officers determined that Sally Meador was going 106 mph down Highland Drive on Aug. 1 before the wreck, Sgt. Ken Lattin said.
Her 2010 Ford Edge drove off the road before Olympia Street, went through three fences and crossed through pastures, then rolled.
Meador, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the SUV and died.
Never miss a local story.
Drugs and alcohol don't appear to be factors in the crash, and Meador didn't have any known medical conditions, he said.
Investigators also found there was nothing mechanically wrong with her car to cause the collision, Lattin said.
He said it's not known what caused her to drive more than 100 mph on Highland Drive.
