The Toyota Center has installed a new elevator that will be operational by the Oct. 2-3 performance of Stomp.
The elevator is at the east end of the center and will provide easier access to the coliseum's floor seating during events.
"The project is part of the work being done in response to access concerns in an aging facility as we attempt to meet the needs of all patrons of the Toyota Center." said Corey Pearson, executive director of the Three Rivers Convention Center complex, in a news release.
He added that visitors to the coliseum will be able to move more freely throughout the facility without an escort.
Never miss a local story.
The Toyota Center received a $200,000 HUD community development block grant from the city of Kennewick to pay for the project, he said.
