PASCO -- Franklin County sheriff's deputies caught a Richland man after a vehicle pursuit Friday night in west Pasco.
Kenneth A. Crary, 45, was arrested in connection with attempted felony eluding about 11 p.m. Friday.
Deputy Justin Gerry of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office tried to stop a vehicle swerving in the southbound lanes of Road 100 near Maple Drive, the sheriff's office said.
The driver drove around the area at "a very high rate of speed," the office said. He drove through several yards, and was stopped in a backyard of a Maple Drive residence.
Deputy Tony Haworth and Pasco police officers assisted with the chase.
Deputies caught Crary when he was attempting to jump a fence, the office said. He told officers he had been under the influence of methamphetamine earlier in the day.
The sheriff's office is investigating whether Crary was driving under the influence and whether the vehicle was stolen. There were multiple warrants for his arrest, the office said.
Residents in the area of Argent Road between roads 88 and 103 who experienced property damage should call the sheriff's office at 545-3501.
