RICHLAND -- Richland police are investigating the theft of about 3,000 gallons of diesel fuel Thursday.
Wondrack Distributing reported the fuel had been stolen from its Aaron fueling station sometime in the early morning, probably around 2 a.m. The fuel is worth about $12,000.
An older, dark blue faded semi was spotted in the parking lot about 20 minutes before the theft, and a white male in his 50s, about 5-foot-10, medium build, with dirty brown shoulder length hair was seen working on the truck.
Police do not know if the person described is connected to the theft.
