KENNEWICK -- The Kennewick High Class of 1971 will hold a fundraiser honoring one of their fellow students, Danny Waller, who drowned in the Columbia River in 1973.
It will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Jack-sons Sports Bar on Kennewick Avenue. Festivities include the chance to dunk a cop into a tank of water. Admission to the event is free.
There also will be drawings for various items. Proceeds will be donated to the Columbia Basin Dive Rescue.
The dive unit was created after Waller's drowning.
