KENNEWICK -- Authorities don't know what caused a Kennewick woman to lose control of her car in a fatal crash Monday.
Sally D. Meador, 53, was thrown from the Ford Edge sedan she was driving about 5 p.m. near the 3100 block of South Olympia Street.
The vehicle was traveling at a high speed when it ran through a fence, into a pasture and flipped.
An autopsy showed the grandmother of 12 died from the injuries from the accident but provided no further explanation of what happened.
Never miss a local story.
Lab tests are being performed and it will be seven weeks before results are known, said Benton County Coroner John Hansens.
Meador worked at Columbia Basin College for seven years in the Work First/Worker Retraining program.
A donation account has been setup at HAPO Community Credit Union in her name.
