Two youth exchange programs are seeking families to serve as hosts for foreign exchange students:
-- The AYUSA global youth exchange program is seeking five family volunteers to host foreign exchange students for the 2011-12 school year.
Students from Germany, Lebanon, Sweden, Finland and the Netherlands will be arriving in August to attend Kennewick and Southridge high schools.

-- STS Foundation, a nonprofit student exchange organization, is seeking host families in Kennewick. Two of the students STS is looking for host families in the area this year are Henri and Thea.
Henri is a 16-year old boy from a small village in Finland who has a passion for snowboarding. He has attended national competitions and has won among the top 10 best snowboarders in the junior category of slope style snowboarding. He also enjoys wakeboarding and playing bass guitar.
Thea is a 16-year-old girl from Norway who loves horses. She also loves playing handball, which she has done for eight years. Both students will have their own spending money and health insurance.
