FINLEY -- Fireworks appear to be to blame for a large wildfire that burned wheat and range land in Finley on Wednesday, officials said.
Benton County sheriff's detectives are investigating the blaze and have not yet determined if it was intentionally set, said Detective Erik Magnuson.
No suspects have been identified.
About 300 acres of wheat and 500 acres of dry grassland was burned, causing nearing $100,000 in damage, Magnuson said.

It took about 100 firefighters from multiple agencies around the Tri-Cities to extinguish the blaze that started around 4:30 p.m. at Finley and Meals roads.
Once the fire was contained, Benton Fire District 1 crews stayed on scene throughout the night to watch for any flare ups.
