Potential candidates for the 2011 election cycle are invited to attend candidate training Monday in Kennewick and Wednesday in Prosser.
The Benton County Elections Department is providing the training for people who may be interested in running for any of 60 offices up for election in November. Filing week is June 6-10.
The training will be at 6 p.m. Monday in the WSU Cooperative Extension offices at 5600 W. Canal Place, suite E in Kennewick, and at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Benton County Auditor's Office, 620 Market St., in Prosser.
The training will include what it takes to file for office, information on the election process, important deadlines, and a chance to visit with a representative from the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission.
