KENNEWICK -- The Tri-Cities Cancer Center is offering a three-class Food for Life series on "How Foods Fight Cancer."
Participants will learn about the right food choices that can help reduce the risk of developing cancer as well as to overcome the disease after it has been diagnosed.
Each class includes evidence-based information, a cooking demonstration and recipe-tasting.
The series is taught by nurse Nancy Lyons, who is a certified Food for Life Instructor and has additional education in plant-based nutrition and the prevention of chronic disease.
The next series starts Tuesday with more classes May 17 and 24. Classes are from 4 to 6 p.m.
Cost is $30 for the series, payable at Tuesday's class.
