RICHLAND -- The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting a magnitude 3.3 earthquake nine miles north of Richland on Saturday.
Several people in Richland and Pasco reported feeling the quake seconds before 9:14 p.m., according to the USGS.
The quake was 11 miles north-northwest of west Pasco and 9 miles north-northeast of West Richland.
Sensors at the Columbia Generating Station, a nuclear power plant north of Richland, did not detect the seismic motion, said spokeswoman Rochelle Olson.
