PASCO -- Franklin County sheriff's deputies called out the Tri-City Regional SWAT team Tuesday afternoon after a man reportedly barricaded himself in a west Pasco home with a gun.
The man, identified as Keith Robert Watson, 47, showed up at his ex-wife's home at 1006 Road 54 about 12:30 p.m. and got a handgun from her bedroom, said Sheriff Richard Lathim.
The man said something to the effect of, "This is it," and the woman quickly left the house and called 911 from a neighboring residence, he said.
Deputies couldn't reach the man on the phone, and his ex-wife said she thought he was suicidal and would shoot himself.

SWAT team officers arrived and surrounded the home, then sent a robot in.
Through the robot, they were able to see the man lying on the floor in the bedroom, Lathim said.
SWAT officers then went inside and found the man dead just before 5 p.m. of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, Lathim said.
