KENNEWICK -- The Historic Downtown Kennewick Partnership is seeking an artist or team of artists to create a piece of public art that will reflect the community's agricultural roots.
The proposed public art should represent the downtown and regional agricultural aspects, and be of appropriate size to be permanently displayed near the main entrance to the historic downtown area, said Tim Dalton, executive director of thepartnership.
It can be sculpture, relief and/or murals, he said.
Up to $35,000 is available to pay for design, fabrication, taxes and insurance.
Dalton said the partnership is seeking private donations for the project, and is looking to raise money through the Main Street Tax Credit incentive program.
