OTHELLO -- An 81-year-old found dead on an Othello-area road had hypothermia, according to Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison.
Although the cause of death remains under investigation, the hypothermia was a significant condition contributing to the death, he said.
The Grant County Sheriff's Office received a call about 1:35 p.m. Friday that a body was lying on Road C Southeast about 1.3 miles north of Highway 262. Officers found the body of John Bothell, of Covington, lying about 20 feet from his pickup.
He had been retrieving hunting decoys using a sled and had collapsed, the sheriff's office reported.

No time of death has been established, but Bothell likely died Friday morning, Morrison said.
