Washington State Patrol investigators are seeking help to identify a motorist who might have been involved or witnessed a fatal crash last week near Quincy.
Luis Rodriguez, 18, of Quincy, died in the 7:30 p.m. crash Feb. 17 on Highway 28, east of Quincy, troopers said.
Rodriguez apparently lost control of his 1999 Honda Accord, crossed into the westbound lane of traffic, went into the ditch and rolled several times, troopers said. The car landed on its wheels about 30 feet off the road.
A passenger, Jose D. Mendoza, 18, of George, suffered chest and head bruises and scrapes, and was treated at Central Washington Hospital.
Troopers are looking for the driver of a newer, hunter green Acura with tinted windows who might have been involved in or seen the crash.
Anyone with information about the vehicle can call Trooper Chad Bassen at 509-765-6175.
