Free training on resources to prevent foreclosure will be offered today for community resource advocates and social service providers.
The training will be presented by the Eastern Washington Lending Awareness Project, which is paid for by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Information will include a review of HUD-approved counseling agencies and the Making Home Affordable program.
Scams and discriminatory lending practices also will be covered.
The workshop will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Pasco Branch of the Mid-Columbia Libraries, 1320 W. Hopkins St.
