A Kennewick teen was crowned Miss Washington Teen USA this weekend.
Cheyenne Van Tine, 16, competed against 28 other teens statewide to earn the title.
The pageant was Saturday and Sunday at Highline Performing Arts Center in Burien. Van Tine, a Southridge High School junior and Running Start student at Columbia Basin College, will represent Washington at the 2011 Miss Teen USA pageant next summer.
She was the 2008 Miss Tri-Cities Outstanding Teen. Her parents are Even and R.W. Van Tine.
According to her biography on the Miss Washington USA website, Van Tine wants to be a pediatric plastic surgeon to correct congenital deformities in children.
Also competing from the Tri-Cities area were Kay-Cee Jones, who was Richland Teen USA; Kyla Dixon, West Tri-Cities Teen USA; and Samantha Brown, Columbia Basin Teen USA.
Now they will compete next spring in Miss USA live on NBC and cheyenne for Miss Teen USA next summer.
