Financial planning workshops to help students and parents learn how to pay for college are planned in the Tri-Cities.
The first workshop is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday upstairs in the library at Chiawana High School, 8125 W. Argent Road, Pasco. It will be repeated at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Richland Public Library's Doris Roberts Gallery, 955 Northgate Drive.
Erik Pielstick, certified college planning specialist, will discuss scholarships, how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, student loans and maximizing financial aid packages from colleges and universities.
Admission is free but registration is required by calling Washington State University Tri-Cities at 372-7606 or go to tricity.wsu.edu/planforcollege.
