PASCO -- A fire shut down the Crazy Moose Casino in Pasco about 8:20 p.m. Sunday.
Pasco firefighters arrived to see flames along the eaves on the front of the building on 20th Avenue, said Capt. Dave Hare.
The building was being evacuated, and many who later stood outside the casino as firefighters worked on the roof said there had been no indication of anything wrong inside.
Firefighters had to cut through the roof and into the eaves to make sure the fire was out. Hare estimated the damaged area at about 10 by 30 feet.

The fire appeared to start near the neon lights that line the peaked eaves of the building, and the lights are being investigated as a possible cause of the fire, Hare said.
The Pasco Fire Department responded to the fire with two engine trucks, a ladder truck and two ambulances.
Kennewick sent a ladder truck and engine truck and Benton Fire District 1 also sent an engine company.
