A class on the "The Rivers and the Reach" is planned by the Community Education office Friday followed by a walk the next day.
Dennis Dauble, an aquatic ecologist, will lead the class, which includes readings on natural history of the Mid-Columbia Basin covering 200 years. The class is from 7 to 8 p.m. at Kamiakin High School, Room 353, in Kennewick.
From 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday a walk is planned in the area of the lower Yakima River used by fall Chinook salmon for spawning.
