A canceled charity baseball game between Tri-City area firefighters and police is back on for today at Gesa Stadium in Pasco.
Rain forced organizers to cancel the second annual Tri-City Law Enforcement vs. Firefighter Baseball Game last Sunday.
Gates open at 4 p.m. and the game starts at 6. Police and fire equipment will be on display and fireworks will be fired after the game.
Sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police Tri-City Lodge No. 7, the game raises money for the FOP Memorial Foundation/Tri-Cities, which assists officers and their families in times of need.
Part of the proceeds will help the local MDA Foundation, Special Olympics and the State Police Canine Retirement Assistance fund.
Admission is two cans of food or nonperishable food or an unwrapped toy per person. Toys will be given to Toys for Tots and food will be taken to the Tri-Cities Food Bank.
Prizes and gift cards will be raffled off during the game, which also includes entertainment by the Washington State Police Canine Association.
