Community members are invited to participate in a one-mile suicide remembrance walk beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Outback Steakhouse restaurant parking lot at 6819 W. Canal Drive in Kennewick.
This year marks the second annual Walk About to Talk About Suicide Prevention in the Tri-Cities. The walk is sponsored by the Benton-Franklin Suicide Prevention Task Force and the Youth Suicide Prevention Program.
This event aims to bring awareness to the community that suicide is a preventable community health problem. Walk About raises awareness, provides resources to the public and remembers those who are gone.
There is no cost for this event, and registration begins at 10 a.m.
