An unsafe lane change led to a roll-over crash Sunday on Highway 240 near Duportail Street, the Washington State Patrol said.
Robert Baxter, 47, of West Richland, was driving a 2001 Ford truck west on the highway in the middle lane when he moved to the left lane to pass another vehicle, troopers said.
Baxter then returned to the far right lane, forcing a 1993 Toyota Corolla off the road, troopers said. The Toyota rolled onto the shoulder of the highway.
The driver, Maria Garcia of West Richland, was treated at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland after being taken there by a friend or relative, troopers said.
Never miss a local story.
Troopers say the cause of the 9:30 p.m. crash was inattention, and Baxter could be cited for making an unsafe lane change.
