The Kennewick City Council plans another budget development workshop tonight to gather public comments on priorities for the 2011-12 biennial budget.
The workshop, which is the second of five planned for this summer and fall, begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Benton PUD Auditorium at Ely Street and West 10th Avenue.
"We hope to receive input from the public and will use interactive polling devices to involve citizens as we begin putting this budget together," said Bob Hammond, city manager.
Mayor Steve Young said the public's thoughts and suggestions will help city officials decide how to best to use the $90 million in general fund revenues during the next two years.
Future budget workshops will be held Aug. 10 at the Grange Building at Union Street next to the Kennewick Library, and at other locations in September and October, Hammond said.
