KENNEWICK -- Two more people have been arrested on drug charges after a burglary at a Kennewick business last week.
Three others already had been jailed on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine in connection with the case, said Kennewick police.
Several tools were stolen June 21 from a shop owned by the Morfeld Corporation at 2804 W. 24th Ave., said police.
Surveillance video showed the break-in happened about 3 a.m. and led police to search the home of James Allen Schneider, at 1602 W. 14th Ave., on Monday.
Never miss a local story.
Schneider, 38, then was jailed on suspicion of second-degree burglary and possession of meth, jail records show.
Robert Phillip Gilbert, 42, and Regina Angela Frank, 39, also were arrested for possessing meth.
The investigation continued and on Thursday police served a search warrant at 224404 E. Cochran Road in Kennewick, looking for more stolen property from the burglary.
The homeowner, John Dean Eynon, 56, and another person, Melody Jane Swett, 54, of Kennewick, also were arrested on suspicion of possessing meth.
Police said other people involved also are facing more drug charges and the investigation into the location of the stolen property is continuing.
2 men arrested are suspects in robbery
BURBANK -- The Walla Walla Sheriff's Office is looking at two young men arrested Wednesday night in Benton County as suspects in a Burbank robbery early that morning.
They also may have been involved in a Pasco robbery the same morning.
The men, whose names were not released Friday, were acting as if they were preparing for a robbery when they were stopped by Benton County sheriff's deputies.
Their vehicle, a newer Chevrolet pickup, was impounded and will be searched, said Capt. Bill White of the Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office.
It matched the description of the pickup described in the Pasco robbery shortly after 12 a.m. Wednesday.
About 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, two people also were robbed at gunpoint as they stood outside the Burbank SunMart store at the corner of Humorist Street and Apple Lane.
One of the two men arrested had a credit card belonging to one of the Burbank victims, White said.
Benton County jail records show Benton County deputies arrested Samuel Barrera, 23, of Prosser, and Jacob Joseph Munoz, 23, of Pasco, Wednesday night on investigation of attempted first-degree burglary and possession of stolen property.
