EPHRATA -- Firefighters have controlled a 150-acre wildfire that was burning southeast of Ephrata in central Washington.
Residents near the fire had been told they might need to evacuate, and the fire burned within 10 feet of at least three homes.
But the Grant County Emergency Management office says the fire was declared under control at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.
The fire burned sagebrush and dry grass.
