The Benton County Coroner's Office identified the man found in a thicket Monday as 62-year-old Jerry Akre.
The body was discovered in a thicket of trees on the 500 block of East Bruneau Place. The death by hanging was ruled a suicide, said Chief Deputy Coroner Roy McLean.
He was believed to have been homeless and staying near where his body was found. His last listed address was on Date Street.
