The operations manager for the Benton Franklin Humane Society has left the agency after 4 1/2 years.
Elaine Allison “has decided to move on to other opportunities,” according to a Humane Society news release.
She was credited with helping develop the Transport Partner Program that saved animals that might not have otherwise survived.
“Elaine has been responsible for guiding the Coyote Ridge dog program to new heights. Under her leadership the ... (p)rogram has become a model that others are looking to follow,” said board President Shannon Novakovich. “We wish her success in all her future endeavors.”
Novakovich said the board recently hired Lezlie Sage to serve as the shelter’s business development director and they plan to let her settle into her position before beginning to look for Allison’s replacement.
She expects the board will begin searching for a new operations manager at the beginning of the year.
The Humane Society shelter is at 1736 E. Seventh Ave., Kennewick.
