A candlelight vigil to remember those killed by domestic violence and to honor survivors is set for 6:15 p.m. Oct. 27 at Howard Amon Park, behind the Richland Community Center, 500 Amon Park Dr.
The annual vigil is organized by the Domestic Violence Services of Benton and Franklin Counties as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The event will feature 40 life-size silhouettes representing victims killed as a result of domestic violence in the community since 1998. Over 900 luminarias will represent the individuals served by the agency each year.
Friends and relatives are invited to memorialize the silhouettes of loved ones at 5 p.m. Music and a blessing of the Dia de Los Muertos alter begins at 5:30 p.m.
