Nominations for Washington Nurse of the Year are being accepted through Sept. 5.
The March of Dimes Washington chapter is coordinating the awards, with a ceremony planned in November in Bellevue. Registered nurses who have lived in the state at least one year and who are in good standing with the Washington State Nursing Commission are eligible.
Categories range from Advancing the Profession and Community Health Nursing to Patient/Clinical Care and Rising Star.
Students enrolled in a Washington nursing program are eligible for the New Generation category, and nominations for Nurse Care Managers also are sought, a news release said. For a nomination form, go to www.marchofdimes.com/washington or call 206-624-1373.
