Grants from the nonprofit UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation are available to help families pay for their children’s health care treatments, services and equipment not covered — or not fully covered — by their commercial health insurance plan.

org. Children must be 16 or younger, and families must meet economic guidelines, live in the U.S. and have a commercial health insurance plan, a news release said. Qualifying families can receive up to $5,000 per grant, it said.
Tax-deductible donations can be made on the website; they’re used to help families in the region in which they’re received, the release said.
