A sandwich shop based in Chelan County will open a store in early June in Richland.
The store is the first franchise for Green Dot Sub Shop, said Jeff Conwell, CEO of Green Dot Systems, who started the shop in Manson with his wife, Debbie Conwell. The Richland store will be owned by David and Kristin Scheelar, who plan to add more Tri-City locations.
“We couldn’t think of a better market for a first store than Richland,” Jeff Conwell said.
The store will feature “line buster” ordering technology, offering an app as well as in-store kiosks, for faster service, as well as 30 flavors of frozen yogurt.
“As far as our subs go, well let me be so bold to say, our mission is to ruin you for any other sub shop,” he said.
The Richland location, which will open in early June in a former Subway at 612 Gage Blvd., will feature site-specific subs like the Bomber BLT and Badger Mountain BBQ Chicken. A grand opening event is planned for July.
Green Dot plans to continue its community involvement by supporting local schools and events.
