CH2M Hill is rebranding the company with a simpler name, CH2M.
CH2M was founded in Corvallis, Ore., nearly 70 years ago by three young engineers and their professor. They named the company after their initials, Cornell, Howland, Hayes and Merryfield. Hill was added to the name after a merger with another company.
The company is a Hanford nuclear reservation contractor, including performing the work for central Hanford and groundwater environmental cleanup and being a partner in Washington Closure Hanford, which is performing cleanup at Hanford along the Columbia River.
CH2M has 25,000 employees working in more than 50 countries and has annual revenue of almost $6 billion.
