Members of the public have a chance to earn five Washington State pesticide recertification credits before the end of 2014 at the “last chance” pesticide seminar, scheduled from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Walla Walla Community College Water and Environmenal Center, 500 Tausick Way in Walla Walla.
Topics of the seminar include: soil/herbicide interactions in the inland Pacific Northwest, downy brome biology and control, pest management challenges in forage production systems, cropping system effects on weed management in the Pacific Northwest, herbicide resistance and the management of Italian ryegrass in wheat, and the biology and management of wireworms in Washington cereal crops.
Speakers include Steve Norberg, Don Wysocki, Drew Lyon and David Crowder.
