The national off-price retailer Burlington is opening a new store in Union Gap.
The first 500 customers on Oct. 11 who make a purchase will receive a free tote bag with purchase. There will also be opportunities for gift card giveaways, face painting, balloons, popcorn and more.
A ribbon cutting has been scheduled at the 2520 Rudkin Road store at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 10 to celebrate the opening.
Along with the ceremony, the store will present its philanthropic program, Burlington Gives Back, which donates new merchandise to area charitable agencies in communities near Burlington locations.
The retailer’s national nonprofit partner, K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers, will work with the new Union Gap store to make a contribution to ed Catholic Charities-Yakima, which provides rescue, recovery and restoration to men, women and children in need.
