“Quality, Controls, and Risk” will be the topic of a Nov. 4 talk by Dennis Arter, a American Society of Quality fellow and recipient of the society’s Distinguished Service Medal.
Arter will deliver a presentation on the history of quality. He will start with an examination of the four eras of the profession since humanity transitioned from the agricultural age, followed by a general model for all organizations to follow.
Arter also will cover how to deal with risk through assessment and treatment and then discuss his vision for the future of quality and professional societies.
The ASQ Section 614 event begins at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at Shilo Inn, 50 Comstock St. in Richland with check-in and networking, followed by a buffet dinner at 6 p.m. provided by Columbia River Catering.
Never miss a local story.
