Pendleton Grain Growers announced earlier this week that has begun negotiations to sell the AG Supply retail stores in Hermiston, Joseph and Island City.
The sale is part of an effort to restructure the member-owned agricultural cooperative so more resources can go to the core of its business.
Company officials said they did not receive offers on the other three stores or for the Pendleton Automotive Service Center.Pendleton Grain Growers has started inventory clearance sales at the Athena, Milton-Freewater and Pendleton locations, which will be the only stores offering the sales.
The final day of business for the AG Supply stores is still to be determined, but will occur in early September. The service center closed earlier this week.
