WALLA WALLA -- A Walla Walla chef is turning to the public to help kick start his newest culinary endeavor.
Chef Rich Koby, owner of Fat Duck Inn in Walla Walla, is seeking funding through kickstarter.com to start a mobile kitchen that will take his restaurant's menu to the streets of Walla Walla. The truck should feature the cuisine diners have come to expect from the Fat Duck Inn -- fresh, seasonal locally and sustainably sourced, said a news release.
Kickstarter contributors can receive rewards ranging from meals at the truck, Fat Duck Inn shirts, weekends at the inn and winemaker dinners for 20 guests, Koby said.
Kickstarter is the top crowd-sourcing program in the country and allows startups, inventors, expanding businesses, artists, writers and others to fund new projects through the collective power of community.
Anyone interested in contributing can go to kickstarter.com and search for Fat Duck Inn or Walla Walla.
