Gesa Credit Union plans a free seminar on energy efficiency.
The seminar is at 7 p.m. July 22 at 1325 White Bluffs St. in Richland in an Energy Star-rated, "Built Green" home in the Westcliffe development.
Guests will learn about the latest in energy-efficient new home construction and how building "green" benefits the environment and can significantly cut the cost of utility charges.
There also will be tips on how to retrofit existing homes to be more energy efficient.
Attendees can enter to win a Wi-Fi programmable touchscreen thermostat, and the first 30 people will receive a gift.
This event is offered in partnership with the Home Builders Association of the Tri-Cities "Built Green" program, Pischel Quality Homes and Barry Long of EverStar Realty.
