This year's U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service's Paterson Field Research Tour is July 9.
The tour, which starts with registration at 8:30 a.m., will cover potato research projects, including nutrient and psyllid management, weed and disease control, phosphorus fertilizers from anaerobic digester systems and vine kill treatments for baby potatoes.
There also will be discussions of dry bean germplasm improvement, switchgrass production for biofuel and an agronomic assessment of a green pea and canola rotation.
The site, sponsored by AgriNorthwest, is five miles east of Paterson off Highway 14.
