The 2013 Statewide Viticulture Field Day is Aug. 16 in Prosser.
Offered by the Washington State Grape Society and the WSU Viticulture and Enology Program, the field day is open to all who are interested in viticulture and will cover topics ranging from nutrient and water management in vineyards to a sneak peek on grape fungicide efficacy trials.
The field day will apply to both juice and wine grape production.
The day will start at 8 a.m. at the Washington State University Irrigated Agriculture Research & Extension Center Roza Research farm off McCreadie Road in Prosser.

Following a catered lunch by Garcia's Tex-Mex in Prosser, the tour will continue at 1:30 p.m. at Zirkle Wine Company's new crush facility in Prosser.
Transportation between venues is not provided; carpooling is encouraged.
Cost is $10 to cover the catered lunch. No RSVP is required.
