- Kennewick General Hospital recently hired neuroradiology specialist Dr. Andersen Grigg. Grigg joined the hospital’s radiology services group. He is a specialist in the diagnosis and characterization of nervous system, spinal, head and neck abnormalities. Grigg is a graduate of Midwestern University in Glendale, Ariz.
- DeeLyn Purdy was recently named Numerica Credit Union’s Kennewick branch manager. Purdy has worked in the banking and financial industry for 20 years.
- Top Chef contestant Robin Leventhal was recently hired as a culinary instructor at Walla Walla Community College. Leventhal competed on the 2009 season of Bravo’s Top Chef. She has owned several restaurants in Seattle and Las Vegas. She looks forward to “shifting from the hectic pace” of restaurant life and to begin teaching, according to a news release.
- Mark Hymas, Ed Hodges and Robert Rathburn have graduated from the Army Corps of Engineers Power Plant Apprentice Program at the McNary Dam. Hymas of Kennewick works at McNary Dam as a power plant operator. Hodges, an Air Force veteran from Irrigon, works at McNary Dam as a power plant electrician. Rathburn, a Marine Corps veteran from Kennewick, works at Lower Monumental Dam as a power plant mechanic. The apprenticeship program includes a year focused on general hydropower knowledge, followed by two to three years spent under the guidance of journeymen in a specific craft plus an academic curriculum.
