Magill's Restaurant is expanding, adding a third Tri-City restaurant.
Sheila Bentley and her husband, Darren Martin, will be opening their newest restaurant at 335 W. Columbia Drive, Kennewick, in mid-September.
The new Magill's is going into the site of the former Willingham's Grill, which closed last summer.
Now, they are busy freshening it up, having some painting done, installing new countertops and "just making it look like us," Sheila said.
The Kennewick restaurant will feature a menu similar to those at their original Pasco restaurant on Road 68 and the Richland location in the Uptown Shopping Center.
The couple opened their Pasco restaurant almost five years ago and the Richland one in late August last year.
"We feel good about the Tri-City economy," Bentley said. "We have no plans to close either of our other restaurants."
The Kennewick Magill's will have one thing neither of the others has, a full-service lounge serving beer, wine and liquor.
"This will be a first for us," she said. The other two restaurants serve just beer and wine.
They will employ about 25, bringing their total employees to about 75.
Bentley and Martin also have plans to expand into catering.
"We have plenty of room in the Richland restaurant. The kitchen is huge, it's the size of a hotel kitchen," she said.
The Richland location also includes a bakery and handles all the baking for all the Magill's restaurants.
