Good deeds do get rewarded.
For years the owner of Franki & Co., Franki Anderson, has donated her services to clients at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center. She, the hairstylists and other staff at the salon are also the top sellers of Matrix hair care products in the area.
For those reasons, Matrix, which has initiated a community outreach program, Chairs of Change, brought Dr. Lew Laconsy to the Tri-Cities Thursday to speak to other salon owners at Franki & Co. and inspire them to similar community service efforts.
Laconsy discussed how hairstylists are one of five occupations where they touch people both physically and emotionally. His theory is those who look pretty will feel great, which prompted Matrix to contract with him to help promote Chairs of Change.
