The new iPad with Wi-Fi and 4G arrived at the Kennewick AT&T store Friday and store manager Aaron Laredo said there has been a steady demand for the new electronic devices.
"There is no faster iPad available in the Tri-Cities," he said.
Laredo declined to say how many the store had in stock or had sold by Friday afternoon. But he did say the iPads -- which come in 16, 32 and 64 gigabytes -- are in stock and customers always have the option of placing a special order and having it delivered directly to their home.
Laredo said customers did come to the store before it opened but didn't wait outside, instead left and returned after the store opened.
Cost of the new iPads is $629, $729 and $829.
The AT&T store is at 1103 Columbia Center Blvd., Kennewick.
