Broetje Orchards of Prescott was honored "for their unique business philosophy" during the recent annual education conference of the Latino/a Educational Achievement Project at the Hotel Murano in Tacoma.
Ricardo Sanchez, founder and director of the project, said that the "Broetje family is exemplary in every way" and their orchards are "a model business for the nation."
Accepting the award were Eva Madrigal, Laura Perez and Greg Guillen. Madrigal and Perez are employees of Broetje Orchards. Guillen, an engineer at Boeing, was the recipient of the Broetje's scholarship program.
