SPOKANE -- The state Department of Labor and Industries will hold two hearings on a draft rule regarding citations.
In Washington, a business cited by L&I has no obligation to address the hazards while the citation is under appeal. The draft rule would require employers to correct these safety hazards, even if they appeal the citation, unless a stay is granted.
The first hearing is at 1 p.m., Wednesday at the DoubleTree Hotel City Center, 322 N. Spokane Falls Court in Spokane.
The next hearing is at 9 a.m., Dec. 2 in room S117 of Labor and Industries' Tumwater office, 7273 Linderson Way S.W., Tumwater.
Written comments will be accepted until 5 p.m. Dec. 7. To send a comment, email email@example.com.
