Reforming standards for limiting radiation exposure at nuclear power reactors will be discussed May 19 at a meeting of the Eastern Washington Section of the American Nuclear Society.
Eric Loewen, chief consulting engineer for advanced plants technology at GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy in North Carolina, will speak. He will discuss whether the As Low As Reasonably Achievable standard for radiation dose should be reformed.
